Family planning & the first trimester are critical

Family planning and the first trimester are crucial, particularly for fathers. It is important for fathers to be actively involved in decisions regarding family planning and the early stages of pregnancy. This involvement can help ensure a healthy and supportive environment for both the mother and the unborn child. By playing an active role from the beginning, fathers can contribute to the overall well-being and success of the family unit.

    Charles Johnson

His passion for systemic change is driven by his love for his wife, Kira, who passed away following the birth of their second child. Kira underwent a routine c-section in April 2016, but tragically died from internal hemorrhaging despite pleas for help. Her death sheds light on rising maternal mortality rates and the silencing of Black voices in America. Charles channeled his grief into founding 4Kira4Moms, an organization dedicated to improving birth outcomes and advocating for maternal health policies. He uses his voice to push for legislative changes, having testified before Congress and helped pass key acts. Charles also actively raises awareness through media appearances and events nationwide. Additionally, he is a devoted father to his two sons, Charles V and Langston, keeping their mother's spirit alive every day.
